cognitive stimulation and reality orientation therapy Evidence suggests that cognitive stimulation can help improve thinking and memory skills in people with dementia and its currently the only psychological treatment specifically recommended by the national institute for health recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for the treatment of mild to moderate dementia.
